German family-owned R&G Holding, owner of the RSP Group, worldwide leader in the suction excavator
market, acquires Amphitec and ATEC Rental from hands-on investor Active Capital Company.
Through the acquisition, RSP and Amphitec combine their offering of vacuum and ventilation technology
and further strengthen their market positions.
Active Capital Company (ACC) has divested its shares in vacuum equipment manufacturer Amphitec and
vacuum equipment rental business ATEC Rental to R&G in August 2022. ACC acquired a majority stake in the company in 2015 and supported the company in developing several transformation initiatives during the past years. Amongst others, a production facility was realized in Poland and a rental business was set-up to cater more broadly to market demand.
As Amphitec focusses on vacuum technology, the acquisition will further broaden RSP’s product range with vacuum technology which is complementary to RSP’s ventilation technology. The RSP ventilation machinescare typically used for suction excavation, an alternative to digging done by traditional excavators which canccause a lot of damage to underground infrastructure. More recently, the vacuum trucks of Amphitec arecbeing used more often in specific use cases.
